so my wife is in the middle of makeing a baby(I helped!) but that means my nice 2011 volvo c30 is a little impractical for now;

I'm hoping to find a Volvo v70R (2004-2007 with A manual )to trade it for; problem is I still owe on the c30 so id like to do it at a dealership make my life easier.

Any one know of any sitting on a lot some where (I know of 3) one is in New York and has a "deposit" on it (guy doesn't want to work with me I think)

Other one is in mass and that guy is living up to the term "mass hole" and third is in Wisconsin which is a bit of a drive (12 hours!) but guys are very happy to work with me it seems.

Any one know of any not listed on autotrader or cars.com closer to the dc area ?

What makes the C30 impractical? They seem like they are usable to me unless you plan on transporting a large number of people.

I wouldn't be hasty to get rid of a perfetly fine car just because the internet says two doors are impractical.

DON'T DO IT!

No, you should probably do it. Though the R's are a bit troublesome. Google angle gear...

Wife hates 2 doors (and hatchbacks for that matter)

It's just reaching into the back seat to get kid, plus we take the dogs out a lot so need to have room for them and luggage. So station wagon it is(but it has to be a volvo and it has to be stick! So v70r it is) also I really want one recently

I know they can be a pain( they don't nickel and dime you, they Jefferson and Andrew you) but il take the chance (also a v70r stick is rare probably then your Ferrari )

I see what you mean.

When you just take one or two kids, then a coupe is perfectly fine. Kids don't care about leg room. Me and my sister grew up in them.

But luggage and dogs in addition to kids might make owning one a considerably more difficult. Escpecially so, if you plan on long distance travel.

yeah, 2 dc- Chicago trips a year, so that's fun. Could do roof rack but meh, I set my sights on an v70r and by gum I'm gonna get one)

AND HATCHBACKS!? BOOO. Nothing makes me sadder than people hatin some hatches. But, to each their own.

Can you afford to trade in for a v60? I drove a drive-e version, and while quite a departure from a polestar c30, it wasn't too bad. There is one problem though: I don't think they have a manual option at any trim level in the U.S.

Wish I could be of more help, but if you are looking for a dealer-sold model autotrader and cars.com will cover a great deal of the listed options. Good luck!

EDIT: Actually, what area of the country are you looking in?

yeah, I don't do sedans so it's a fight when it Getty to car buying time, I like the v/s60 but to much money sadly for me at the moment

Did you check the swedespeed classifieds? There's almost always a V70R or two for sale in there at any given time.

Honestly, my wife and I managed for the first year with our son with a 2-door Accord and a 2-door Civic. (We also had my old Volvo for when we needed more space or for really long trips.) It wasn't too bad since the car seat is removable and the base is what is belted into the car. So, you just buckled him up before heading to the car then just popped him into the base in the back. It's not ideal...but may work for a while on the C30.

What about a V50 instead of a V70r? They're sorta like a 5-door C30! In all honesty, you can get the T5 engine with the 6-speed manual and AWD. I think they're one of the best kept secrets in the auto-world. It's like a baby v70R...or a Swedish WRX. I think if you get a '08 or newer you can even get the Polestar kit to add on an extra 25 hp. The only problem is they're about as rare as the V70R.

yeah , I'm not in a huge rush to trade it, but I think as much as we take long trips with the dogs it's needed

There is one close by, but I just want a v70r so bad, the extra horse's and mod potential are too much for me not to give in to (also they aren't crash test rated on iihs which weirds me out
